Allergan has re branded VISTABEL 50 units as BOTOX in 50 unit vials.
The previous dilution for VISTABEL should be used for the 50 unit vials of BOTOX.
The BOTOX 50 unit vial has the same licensing approval as VISTABEL.
General consensus is 1 ml dilution for a 50 units vial.

BOTOX Training
Firstly I must point out the units and dilutions are not transferable between the various different botulinum toxin products.
There are many differences between the botulinum toxin products available on the market especially with Azzalure and Botox. Azzalure is provided in 125 Speywood unit vials and Botox is provided in 100 unit vials and Vistabel in 50 unit vials other differences include pharmacology, lethal doses and licensed degree of use for medical and cosmetic purposes to name a few.
Azzalure requires a higher volume of units per injection site than required with Botox to achieve similar results, most practitioners recommend that 3 units of Azzalure can be used to 1 unit of Botox to achieve these results.
At the KT Training introduction to Botox course we teach clinicians to reconstitute BOTOX/VISTABEL
Botox (100 unit vials) with 2ML of bacteriostatic sodium chloride 0.9%
Vistabel (50 unit vials) with 1ML of bacteriostatic sodium chloride 0.9%
Various dilutions exist for Botox/Vistabel we find these dilutions straightforward for new injectors. The ease of transition would depend on whether your original training with Azzalure covered standard metric ML dilutions and units or the Speywood units.
For many experienced botulinum toxin injectors the transition can be very straightforward. If you are unsure of the transition from Azzalure to Botox I would recommend one of the refresher Botox training courses which will provide a comprehensive knowledge of the Botox and Vistabel product plus hands-on injection time with patients provided to ensure a good level of confidence. Understanding BOTOX(R) units.
In tests 1 unit of BTX is a lethal dose to 50% (LD50) of the mouse species tested.
The equivalent dose of BTX(LD50) for 70-kg adult would be equal 2500 to 3000 units.
Manufactures do not all use the same model as BOTOX(R) so 1 unit of one brand of BTX will be different to another.
Doses as high as 1000 units of BOTOX(r) have been used in medicine to treat cerebral palsy and various neurological conditions.
