Hyperhydrosis Training and Excessive Sweating Treatments

Humans perspire or sweat as part of the bodies’ regulatory functions. This cools the body to assist with temperature control. For some people the bodies sweat glands over produce which can be embarrassing and uncomfortable.

Treating Excessive Sweating

The treatments for hyperhydrosis include deodorants, botulinum toxins and surgery. A medical expert can prescribe strong deodorants or small amounts of BOTOX to temporarily reduce the sweating, or alternatively a surgeon can provide a more invasive option if required.

The deodorants are usually the first option to reduce this condition. The injection of botulinum toxin in to the locality of the sweating is the next approach; this will assist for up to 6-9 months. Surgery is only required in very rare cases, the injection option will usually provide a good outcome for the patient.

The underarms are the most frequent treated site for hyperhydrosis , other areas such as hands, feet and head can also be associated with this condition.
